It is anticipated that the contract will be awarded in December 2021/January 2022 The work consists of improvements to the Naperville Park District - North Maintenance Facility to be bid and constructed in phases. Phase 1 includes a complete roof replacement, including new overflow roof drains, heat trace for gutters and downspouts, and removal and reinstallation of rooftop mechanical equipment. Phases 2 and 3 will be bid out separately at a later date. All questions concerning this project should be directed to Tom McGrath, Lamp Incorporated, in writing to tmcgrath@lampinc.net. Questions will be received in writing only until noon on Thursday, November 4, 2021. Requirements and Performance Bond 1. If a bid is accepted, a Labor & Material Payment Bond, payable to the Naperville Park District, for not less than one hundred (100%) percent of the contract amount will be required prior to beginning construction. A Performance Bond, payable to the Naperville Park District, for not less than one hundred (100%) percent of the contract amount will be required prior to beginning construction. Such bonds shall include the provision guaranteeing the faithful performance of the Prevailing Wage Act. The surety on the bond shall be a company that is licensed by the Department of Insurance authorizing it to execute surety bonds and the company shall have a financial strength rating of at least A- as rated by A.M. Best Company, Inc., Moody's Investors Service, Standard & Poor's Corporation, or a similar rating agency. 2. If a bid is accepted, the Contractor will be required to file a written substance abuse prevention program with the Owner for the prevention of substance abuse among its employees prior to the commencement of the work. Said program shall be available to the general public. Award of Contract It is anticipated that the contract will be awarded in December 2021/January 2022. The Park District reserves the right to reject any non-responsive or non-responsible bids or to reject all bids and waive any informality or technicality in any bid in the interest of the Naperville Park District. Notice to Proceed: 3/15/2022 Substantial Completion: 5/1/2022 Final Completion: 5/15/2022
