As of October 19, 2021, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Generally, the work consists of inspecting, preparing, and painting/coating the Kern Avenue steel tower and domestic water tank including removing and disposing sediment inside the tank and cleaning and coating the inside of the tank with NSF 61 certified coating materials. Tank size is approximately 160,000 gallons and the height of the catwalk is approximately 132 feet above ground level. Lead paint is present on the outside of the structures. To be considered a plan holder and to receive any Addendums or other pertinent information, bidders must register at the Corporation Yard Office, 3981 S 'K' Street, Tulare CA 93274 and sign the plan holders list. Bidders must be registered on the plan holders list for their bid to be considered responsive. An email request to be placed on the Plan Holders list is acceptable. Email requests to: TDoyle@tulare.ca.gov. The right is reserved by the City of Tulare to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in the bids received, and to evaluate the bids submitted and to award the contract according to the proposal which best serves the interest of said City Contractor shall complete all work contained in the construction documents within thirty (30) working days. The City of Tulare affirms that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, Minority Business Enterprise, and Women-Owned Business Enterprise will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religious creed, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. This project is subject to State contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990. Inquiries regarding the plans, specifications, or estimate must be communicated as a bidder inquiry in writing by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.
