This Request for Supplier Qualifications (RFSQ) is an invitation by the City of Orillia (the City) to prospective respondents to qualify for eligibility to provide General Contracting Services for the Major Renovation and Construction of Brian Orser Arena. Brian Orser Arena is a single ice pad facility built in 1973 and has now served the Orillia community for 50 years. Orillia City Council has approved a significant +$11 Million renovation and construction project to update and modernize many of the facility's features and facilities. Details are further outlined in Appendix A (The Deliverables). The City is pre-qualifying General Contractors who, if successful, will be eligible to participate in a future second-stage competitive process - Intent to Tender (ITT). The second stage is due to be released in January 2024, with construction set to commence as early as possible soon afterwards, with a projected completion date of late Q4 2024. The successful respondent of the second stage will act as a General Contractor to oversee the construction project and will enter into a CCDC 2 - Fixed Price Contract (with Supplemental Conditions) with the City of Orillia.
