Construction of a new 1 1/2-storey fire station. Scope to include: fire administration, living quarters, 4 drive-through truck bays; fire prevention offices; fire training offices; Emergency Operations Centre; and meeting space. The building will be built on a 3-acre parcel of land in the industrial area of town. TIMELINE: Concept plans are complete. Owner has determined that pursuing net-zero building is not financially feasible at this time dur to rising construction costs. The architect has been directed to proceed into further design work without net-zero requirements. Site plan approvals are in place. Funding approvals are still required. Further update may be available late 2023.
