Project Name: Truck Shed Demolition and Drainage Improvements at St. James Farm Forest Preserve Project Number: Project #Z-771-012A Project overview: Demolition of a truck shed and its foundation as well as an concrete slab adjacent to it and 2 nearby concrete slabs. The project will also include the replacement of approximately 840 LF of storm sewer and the installation of 2 drainage structures. All bids must be received prior to the date and time shown above. No late bids will be accepted. Consideration of contract award will likely be made on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Also, the Contractor shall abide by the "Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act" (30 ILCS 570, sec 1-7). Minority business firms are encouraged to submit bids on the project and successful contract bidders are encouraged to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services and construction. The Forest Preserve Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. The work to be done for this project, shown on the Drawings entitled, "TRUCK SHED DEMOLITION AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS AT ST. JAMES FARM FOREST PRESERVE," prepared by the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County dated July 26, 2021, consists of the demolition of a truck shed and its foundation as well as an concrete slab adjacent to it and 2 nearby concrete slabs. The project will also include the replacement of approximately 840 LF of storm sewer and the installation of 2 drainage structures.
