Location: Hardwick Project Type: Highway - Construction MASSDOT - Resurfacing and Related Work (Including Bridge Number H-08-22) on Sections of Main/ Church Street (Route 32), Hardwick Road (Route 32A) and Adjacent Streets Labor participation goals for this Project shall be 15.3% for minorities and 6.9% for women for each job category The project consists of roadway reconstruction and related work on approximately 1.0 mile of Route 32 (Main Street and Church Street) and Route 32A (Hardwick Road) in the Gilbertville Village of the Town of Hardwick, Massachusetts. The work includes pavement reconstruction, pavement reclamation, hot mix asphalt and cement concrete sidewalk construction, granite curbing installation, pavement mill and overlay, stone masonry retaining wall construction, guardrail installation, stormwater drainage system construction, hydrant relocations, traffic signs and pavement marking installation, tree removal and tree protection, erosions controls, temporary traffic controls, and repairs to the superstructure of Bridge No. H-08-22. The repairs to Bridge No. H-08-22, which conveys Danforth Brook under Main Street (Route 32), include demolition of existing deteriorated portions of the existing structure which will be replaced with a new reinforced cast-in-place cement concrete slab as well as construction of new structural sidewalk and CT-TL2 barrier on the southern end of the culvert. All work under this Contract shall be done in conformance with the 2021 Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges, the Supplemental Specifications contained in this book, the 2017 Construction Standard Details, the Traffic Management Plans and Detail Drawings, MassDOT Work Zone Safety Temporary Traffic Control, the 1990 Standard Drawings for Signs and Supports; the 2015 Overhead Signal Structure and Foundation Standard Drawings, the 2009 Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) with Massachusetts Amendments; the 1968 Standard Drawings for Traffic Signals and Highway Lighting; The American Standard for Nursery Stock; the Plans and these Special Provisions
