The work will include all labor and equipment required to provide new pavement markings and other necessary appurtenances all in accordance with the specifications and contractual requirements now on file in the office of the City Engineer. No documents will be mailed. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee which shall consist of an Ohio Statutory Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond, substantially in the form prescribed by ORC 153.57 in a penal amount equal to or greater than 100% of the bid price. No other form of bond is acceptable. Bid security furnished in bond form shall be issued by a surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. All bidders must be ODOT qualified for Pavement Markings. The City of North Ridgeville, Ohio reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. Each proposal must contain labels that identify the bid form and the insurance bid bond information. Sealed bids must be marked on the front of the envelope: "2021 Traffic Paint Striping" All questions during bidding shall be emailed to bidinquiries@nridgeville. org. The email should have the project title in the subject line. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code, Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9, shall be required. This work will include new striping and pavement markings for approximately forty (40) centerline miles of roadways within the City of North Ridgeville. Contractor shall review all striping with Engineer prior to construction starting. Detailed quantities can be found in Table 2. The Intersection Combo Bid Item includes adding a 24 inch white stop bar, fifty (50) feet of double yellow centerline and crosswalk along the intersecting road on the roadway indicated in Table 2. There are a few instances where the crosswalks will not be needed at the intersecting streets when there are no connecting sidewalks present. Additionally, the centerline will not be needed when splitter islands are present. New crosswalks shall be standard type -two 12 inch wide solid white transverse lines at six feet apart. Existing crosswalks that have the longitudinal lines shall be replaced in kind unless otherwise directed by the Engineer. On two lane roads, SCHOOL markings shall span across both lanes and be 120 inches tall. Stop Bars shall be 24 inch wide solid white markings. Stop bars in the presence of crosswalks shall be approximately five feet from crosswalk. Quantities for Mills Road do not include striping for the roundabout. Additionally, they do not include the white edge line on the north side that is in the City of Avon. The pavement marking removal areas will be discussed at the pre-construction meeting.
