The City of Fremont ("City") will accept sealed bids for its Washington Boulevard/Osgood Road Intersection Safety Improvements Project The Project is located at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Osgood Road, and is described as follows: The project is more specifically defined in the Contract Documents, but generally includes the following items of work: Furnish and maintain traffic control throughout the period of construction; maintain pedestrian barricades and detour pedestrian traffic around the work area; demolish and dispose of existing improvements including asphalt pavement, curb, gutter, sidewalk, curb access ramp, medians; construct bicycle/pedestrian protected intersection improvements, modify existing traffic signal, remove right turn slip lanes, relocate storm drain inlets, install landscape strip area; upgrade existing curb access ramp, place hot mix asphalt concrete pavement, apply a slurry seal treatment, install striping and pavement markings. There may be other items of work not mentioned above that are shown on the plans and required by the State Standard Specifications and/or the Special Provisions We recommend that if bidders are responding via a delivery service such as US Mail, UPS, FedEx or any way other than personally delivering the bid response that it is done as soon as possible to allow for any delays in the delivery process. No Pre Bid Conference Scheduled Due to the extension of the Shelter in Place there will not be a public bid opening for this project. The bids will be opened by Purchasing and the initiating department. A Preliminary bid result will be posted on the City The planned time frame for commencement and completion of construction of the Project is: Seventy-Five (75) Working Days $70 Hard Copy Set / $20 Digital Set This Project requires a valid California contractor's license for the following classification(s): Class A. Contractors bidding as a joint venture must secure a joint venture license prior to award of the Contract for the Project. Warranty Bond. A warranty bond is required for this Project in the amount of 20% of the awarded Contract Price
