The chemical elimination of cattails (Typha sp.) and various invasive woody plants along the west and north shore of Taylor Lake at Lakewood Forest Preserve as further detailed in the RFQ document. Any question and/or requests for clarifications must be submitted in writing to the Department of Purchasing no Later than 04/26/2021 11:00 AM, CST Owner will receive competitive quotes for the following Work: The chemical elimination of cattails (Typha sp.) and various invasive woody plants along the west and north shore of Taylor Lake at Lakewood Forest Preserve. The target work area with cattails measures approximately 7800 square feet or 0.18 acres. The woody plants consist of 100 +/- stems measuring 3/4 " to 2" +/-. The Contractor shall: 1) Apply aquatic glyphosate (53.8% active ingredient) as a 5% solution with a non-ionic surfactant foliar spray (or approved equal) to actively growing cattails to achieve complete elimination. Provide supplemental applications if necessary. 2) Cut and dispose all invasive woody stems near ground level and apply Trichlopyr (61.60% active ingredient) as a 30% solution in oil with non-ionic surfactant (or approved equal) as a stump treatment. Application shall be made the same day as stem cutting
