Innovation Centre Expansion. Virtual participants must confirm their participation remotely by September 26th, 2024, at 4:00 pm. If you have any further questions or need additional information, feel free to ask the A/E or CDB Project Manager. GENERAL: 15,000 SF addition to the UIC Innovation Center that will include a large co-working area, workshop space, offices, presentation room, and loading dock. The Innovation Center expansion will be located adjacent to the Student Services Building, on the site of the recently demolished parking structure at the corner of Harrison and Throop Street, Chicago. ELECTRICAL: New electrical system for building addition consisting of new service, distribution system, wiring devices, lighting, and equipment connections. Electrical service shall be 800A at 480Y/277V and originate from a utility transformer. Normal power distribution include branch panelboards and step-down transformer to supply necessary power to new wiring devices, lights, and equipment. Emergency power provided through individual emergency batteries. New low voltage systems such as cabling, racks, wiring devices, and associated accessories to support telecommunications system expansion to building addition. New low voltage systems such as security support infrastructure and access control system expansion to building addition. FIRE ALARM: Replacement fire alarm control panel found in existing building. Fire alarm control panel shall accommodate existing devices being addressed in separate UIC scope of work and the proposed new devices. New addressable fire alarm system devices to accomplish full coverage of new building addition and compliance and compatibility with UIC standards.
