As of August 2, 2023, an architect has been selected for the project. The project is in design. A CMAR has not yet been selected. Interviews will be held for a CMAR at the end of August. There is currently no timeline for bidding or construction. The former design solicitation is below, for reference. To provide complete design services for updated programming documents, schematic drawings, final construction drawings, and potential construction inspection services for the above referenced existing facility. This project consists of providing updated programming documents, schematic drawings (including presentation boards and renderings), final construction drawings, and potential construction inspection services for a completely renovated police headquarters building located at 130 North Robson in Mesa, AZ. The goal of this project is to provide an effective and efficient use of the headquarters facility for all pertinent Police functions.The demolition of the entire interior space of this structure, excluding the jail area. The remodeling of the entire 102,356 sf of the interior of this structure. The city may include other miscellaneous improvements at the site, as needed. The City of Mesa seeks a qualified consulting firm, or team, with extensive experience and knowledge of MAG and City of Mesa standards and regulations, to provide complete design-phase services and possible construction-phase services for the Police Department Headquarters Renovation Project. It is anticipated that this project will be delivered utilizing the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) delivery method. The City of Mesa reserves the right to reject any or all Statements of Qualifications, to waive any informality or irregularity in any Statement of Qualifications received, and to be the sole judge of the merits of the respective Statements of Qualifications received. No binding contract will exist between the submitter and the City until the City executes a written contract. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
