All Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid for the complete work. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to Henry County, Georgia asliquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within fifteen (15) calendar days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract. The Bid Bond shall be in the form of a surety issued bond made payable to the Henry County Board of Commissioners. The Owner will require 100% Performance and Payment Bonds. If awarded the Contract, the bidder will execute the Contract and provide the bond(s) as required by the Specifications. The successful bidder, upon his failure or refusal to execute and deliver the Contract and bonds required within fifteen (15) calendar days after he has received notice of the acceptance of the bid, shall forfeit to the Owner, as liquidated damages for such failure or refusal, the security deposited with his bid. The intent of this invitation is to obtain competitive sealed bids from qualified vendors for the drainage improvement of existing storm drain and installation of storm drain located at Rodgers Road. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services required to fulfill the terms and conditions of this bid.
