18001456B 8121.22 LVE-18032 The Borough of Jim Thorpe, Carbon County, will receive sealed bids online via PennBid for The Memorial Hall Renovations, and The Public Works Building Project, for General Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC Contracts The Borough of Jim Thorpe currently has two projects out to bid - The Memorial Hall Renovation, and the new Public Works Building (both found as a separate project on PennBid). The Owner would like Contractors, if they are so inclined, to Bid on both Projects, and Work on them simultaneously. Provisions for multi-contract discounts for constructing both projects are included in the full bidding documents for the Memorial Hall Renovation Project. All documents and solicitation details are available online for no cost at PennBid - www.PennBid.net Failure to attend walk-through may be reason for Owner to reject bid. All Bidders must submit bid security in the amount of 10% of the Bid amount. The Borough of Jim Thorpe reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to accept the Bid, which is in the best interest of the Borough. You are required by the Information for Bidders to execute the Agreement and furnish the required Contractor's Performance BOND, Payment BOND and certificates of insurance within ten (10) calendar days from the date of this If the work is not substantially complete on or before this date, or within this period of time, or extension thereof granted by the Owner, damage will be sustained by the Owner and that it is and will be impracticable and extremely difficult to fix the actual damage which the Owner will sustain in the event of and by reason of such delays. The Contractor shall pay to the Owner liquidated damages in the sum of $500.00 for each calendar day of delay.
