The scope of work includes the installation of approximately 1,233 linear feet of 8-inch C-900 PVC waterline with associated fittings, valves, and reconnections along with proper abandonment of existing 6-inch transite waterline, removal of approximately 82 existing water service connections and abandonment of the same existing water service pipes, installation of approximately 82 service connection including water meters, boxes, and service lines by bore method, restoration, and traffic control. The right is reserved as the interest of the Town of Georgetown may appear, to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in bids received, and to accept or reject any items of any bid. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE) will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids on this contract and will not be subject to discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin or sex in consideration of this award. All Contractors are required to adhere to the State of Delaware M/WBE requirements for M/WBE participation. All Bidders must use to the greatest extent feasible minority, women, and/or disadvantaged businesses and will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, or sex in considering businesses for subcontracting and/or material/equipment supplies. This project is subject to State of Delaware Prevailing Wage Rates and Davis-Bacon Wage Rate requirements as stated in the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.
