The Town of Eagle is located approximately 120 miles west of Denver in Eagle County. The Town has a population of approximately 6,670 people and is currently experiencing high growth pressures. Influenced by western slope ranching, federal lands, and two world-class ski resorts (Vail and Beaver Creek), the Town has a mix of rich historical agriculture and new recreation economies that influence the growth and development of the community. Prospective firms will be required to provide team qualification, proposed work plans, proposed schedule, and other related items as part of the proposal submittal (Section V). The meeting will include a brief overview of the project and a ride out of the service areas as required. Sub-surface installation of conduit, primarily using horizontal directional drilling, plowing and trenching including location of existing utilities through potholing and permanent surface restoration; o Installation of underground handholes and ground rods, including permanent paved surface restoration; o Placement of fiber optic cable and tracer wire in new conduit; o Installation of fiber splice enclosures and fiber splicing; o Installation of strand, armored fiber optic cable, guying and anchoring on HCE pole lines; o Installation of all associated labeling both in underground and overhead fiber cable installations per labeling standards. o Placement and assembly of fiber termination panels and related hardware; o Optical performance testing of fiber optic strands; and o Provision and storage of all materials related to the above construction tasks.
