The project generally consists of the reconstruction of approximately 9,000 SY of the existing apron pavement and rehabilitation of approximately 4,300 SY of the existing taxiway pavement. The project includes full depth reconstruction of the existing apron and milling and overlay of the access taxiway pavement section. Pavement markings, aircraft tie-downs, grading and drainage improvements will also be included in this project. The project will be bid as a Base Bid only. Prevailing wage rates apply. Contractors must be bonded and insured to the level indicated in the Contract Documents. A Federal DBE participation goal is included in the Contract. The project is sales tax exempt. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price (combination of base bid or alternate bid plus add-on items) for the contract in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Preparation of Proposal. The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the bid and to reject any and all bids. The intent of the contract is to provide for construction and completion, in every detail, of the work described. It is further intended that the Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies required to complete the work in accordance with the plans, specifications, and terms of the contract.
