Replacement of the North Transit Garage with a new 40,000 m2 facility. TIMELINE: Request for Expression of Interest for site location was re-issued & closed 1/14/2022, no submission was selected. City staff seeking council approval to expropriate land south of Selkirk Ave & west of Oak Point Hwy, which has no civic address. It would provide part of the property required combining with city-owned land near Oak Point Highway and land it will buy at 100 Oak Point Hwy., a public service report says. Oak Point Highway is a preferred location for the Transit garage due to its access to a major transportation. Funding has been announced through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program - Public Transit Infrastructure Stream (ICIP-PTIS). Consulting Services for Owner Advocate/Project Manager has been awarded to Dillon Consulting. An RFP for design has now been issued. This Project will be delivered through a Design-Bid-Build process. Updates will be made upon award of contract. *Federal funding up to $73,022,800, Subject to the necessary federal due diligence and approvals process; Provincial funding $60,846,248; Municipal funding $48,687,952.
