Tank Information: The structure is a 1,500,000 gallon composite elevated water storage tank with an estimated high-water level of 136 feet located at 9700 Pine View Drive in Portage, Michigan. The work includes: Wet Interior: Abrasive blast clean to a SSPC-SP10 near-white metal standard and apply a three (3) coat zinc epoxy system. Dry Interior: Spot power tool clean coating breaks in the access tube to a SSPC-SP11 standard. Apply a spot two (2) coat epoxy system to the prepared surfaces. This item is incidental to wet interior repainting, total area to spot repaint is less than 3 square feet. Cathodic Protection: Replace the impressed current cathodic protection system including the rectifier and all interior components. Repairs: 1) Replace manway gasket. 2) Replace roof hatch gasket. 3) Replace mud valve. 4) Replace vent with a frost-free roof vent. 5) Install roof couplings. 6) Replace dry interior and aviation light bulbs. 7) Replace overflow screen. EXAMINATION OF BID DOCUMENTS AND VISIT TO SITE -- Before submitting a Proposal, Bidders shall carefully examine the Specifications, and other Contract Documents, shall visit the site of work, and shall fully inform themselves as to all existing conditions and limitations and shall indicate on the Proposal the sum to cover the cost of all items included on the proposal form.
