Description of Work Work shall include, but is not necessarily limited to furnishing all labor, materials and equipment for completing the following scope of work: excavation and installation of stone dust walkways (ADA Accessible Route); rehabilitation of existing asphalt tennis courts and conversion of one court to two pickleball courts, new fencing; cleaning of existing asphalt and installation of two new asphalt ADA parking stalls; seeding for restoration of lawn damaged during construction; signage, line striping and other work associated with and incidental to these improvements. PA Prevailing Wage Rates apply to this Project. Bids must be delivered or mailed to the Borough in order to arrive by the time of the bid opening. No bids will be considered which are late or fail in any respect to comply with all bid conditions and requirements. Bidders proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, certified bank treasurers check, bank cashiers check or bid bond in the form provided in the Bid Package. A satisfactory corporate surety shall provide security in an amount equal to 10% of the base bid. All bonds must be secured. The Contract shall be awarded to the lowest, most responsible bidder; however, the Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part of any bid and to waive any or all irregularities, errors, omissions or informalities deemed to be in their interests. All bids shall be considered binding and shall not be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the bid opening date without the consent of The Borough of Hawley.
