The work includes construction of ravine and slope stabilization measures at two locations on the south side Forest Cove Road in the Village of Lake Bluff. The work at one location consists of constructing a large woody debris terraces to stabilize the ravine slope, abandoning of a 10-inch drain, installing a 10-inch storm sewer and two drain basins along Forest Cove Road, slope restoration, and constructing of a riprap grade control structure in the ravine. The work at the second site consists of removing a 12-inch storm sewer that has failed and replacing it with a new 12-inch storm sewer. The proposed work also consists of installing three drain basins, two large woody debris terraces, a gravel curtain drain and constructing a riprap grade control structure in the ravine. The proposed improvements shall include all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the repairs as shown. Bidders or their agents are invited to be present. Nothing herein is intended to exclude any responsible firm, or in any way restrain, or restrict competition. All responsible and eligible firms are encouraged to submit proposals. The Village reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive informalities or technicalities in any proposal, and to accept the proposal which it deems to be in the best interests of the Village.
