Work consists of reconstructing York Street from the E-470 Northbound Ramps to the E. 156th Avenue to replace the bridge over Big Dry Creek. Work will construct a widened roadway section, raise the profile of York Street, and provide a longer bridge to convey the Big Dry Creek 100 year flood event. Work includes realignment, regrading, and revegetation of approximately 920 linear feet of the Big Dry Creek channel. The Big Dry Creek trail will be constructed throughout the project area. Sanitary sewer, lighting, storm sewer and water quality ponds. Additional improvements to E. 156th Avenue at the intersection with York Street are included. As of August 9, 2023, the project is in final design. A general contractor will be selected via full and open solicitation posted on the City website which is anticipated for September 2023. Construction is anticipated to begin in October 2023. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: he Scope of this Professional Service Agreement includes the design for the construction of the York Street Bridge over Big Dry Creek Project, Project No. 19-253. To be minimally qualified for consideration for award, proposing firms must have successfully completed three (3) projects that have a similar degree of complexity and cost within the past five (5) years. Proposing firms must have a minimum of two (2) staff member(s) with a Professional Engineers license in the State of Colorado that will be assigned to the Project.
