This project is intended to develop a district plan for the Riverside Boulevard and Military Road district, and to identify and design streetscaping improvements and façade improvements. The concept is to create an attractive district for both vehicle and pedestrian traffic. The streetscaping will increase the walkability of the corridor and attract development/redevelopment opportunities. In addition, a façade improvement program could be proposed for the area that would enhance street improvements. The façade improvement program will be created to match West 7th, Pearl Street, and Pierce Street façade programs of $60,000 max rewards and required 25% matches. A mortgage and promissory note will also be required for a 5- year term. To coincide with the reconstruction of Military Road, the FY 2018 funds and $50,000 from FY 2019 were devoted to streetscaping improvements as developed during that project. The project is included in the city's 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of September 30, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
