The Town of Bethel affirms that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, said business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation, and that they will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, national origin, or sex in consideration for award. The project is proposing the removal of the existing culvert and the installation of a precast 7 ft width x 4 ft height x 35 ft length box culvert along with the stabilization and reconstruction of the existing slopes and road, as per the design plans prepared by Wright-Pierce, titled "CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS FOR CODFISH HILL ROAD CULVERT REPLACEMENT," dated February 26, 2021, and the design specifications titled "BIDDING AND CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS," dated March 1, 2021, that are attached to this bid package. This project shall include all related site work. The selected Contractor shall complete project tasks that include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following: - Installation of Sediment and Erosion Control Measures as per the design plans - Demolition and removal of existing culvert - Installation of the proposed precast box culvert as per the design plans - Reconstruction of the slopes, roadway, and utilities as per the design plans - Provision of maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT) as needed, including a sign plan for Town review showing road closure, perimeter warning, traffic detour, and legal signs - Completion of As-Built Drawing signed by a licensed Land Surveyor - The Town requires that the project is complete by June 1, 2023
