The City of Kaukauna will receive sealed bids for the replacement of an existing 500 KW indoor diesel generator with a new Exterior 800A Diesel generator/radiator/fuel tank package, including delivery and set-up. Contractor will disconnect power to existing generator and radiator, furnish and install new exterior generator and radiator (to be set by others), run new power feeds and complete electrical terminations for new generator and radiator, furnish and install new 800A, service entrance rated Automatic Transfer Switch, and run new 800A, main power feed from Utility Transformer to new ATS. The City will install a concrete pad for the new exterior unit, remove and dispose of the existing unit and existing fuel tank. No bid can be received or considered unless accompanied by a certified check equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, or a bid bond in equal amount payable to the City as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within ten (10) days from the date of the lowest responsible bidder's bid is accepted. In case the bidder fails to file such contract and bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. The board reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
