If mailing is requested for the electronic copies of the Contract Documents, provide your account number for mail service and type of delivery desired by contacting M.J. Engineering and Land Surveying, P.C. at 518-371- 0799. No express or overnight mailing to post office boxes will be provided. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons whose name and address are on record as having obtained the Contract Documents. The Project generally consists of the construction of approximately 2,700 linear feet of asphalt sidewalks and drainage improvements along Glenridge Road. Work shall be substantially completed on or before September 6, 2019 and ready for final payment by October 7, 2019. Bids will be received on a lump sum basis, with allowances, if included. The envelopes containing the bids must be sealed and addressed to Glenville Municipal Center, 18 Glenridge Road, Glenville, New York 12302 and must be designated as "Glenridge Road Sidewalk Improvements - Phase 2". Bids actually received by mail or by hand after the appointed time on the date specified shall be rejected, notwithstanding that such Bid may have been placed in a mail box or other mail receptacle regularly maintained by the United States Postal Service before such time and ordinarily in sufficient time to have been delivered on time. The Town of Glenville is an exempt organization under the Tax law and is exempt from payment of Sales and Compensating Use Taxes on materials which are to be incorporated into the project and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the Owner prior to incorporation into the project, pursuant to the provisions of the Contract. These taxes are not to be included in the bid. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. A pre-bid conference will not be held.
