1. Infrastructure Ontario (IO) on behalf of the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is undertaking the construction of a new Marine Services Facility In Kingston Ontario. 2. Work of this Contract comprises the construction of the MTO Marine Services Facility and all associated site restoration and sitework for the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario at 1355 John Counter Boulevard, Kingston, Ontario as indicated on the drawings and specifications. The proposed new Marine Services Facility will include administrative and workshop spaces to support and consolidate the Ministry's Ferries Program that provides maintenance services and storage of vessel equipment for the Eastern Region, specifically service to Wolfe and Amherst Islands. The building is a single storey structure with partial mezzanine and will have a total floor area of 2,101 m2 (ground floor 1,889 sq m, storage mezzanine 212 sq m). 3. The Work includes the demolition of existing building B11146 and associated site restoration and sitework as indicated. 4. The Work includes the supply, delivery and installation of all fittings, fixtures, furnishings and equipment shown and specified. 5. The Work includes the removal, transport and installation in the new Marine Services Facility of existing equipment from the MTO Marine Terminal located at 295 Ontario Street, Kingston, Ontario, K7K 2X7 as described in Article 1.14.
