Design, building, financing and regular maintenance of the Montreal Olympic Stadium new roofing. The project consists of replacing the roof of the Olympic Stadium in Montreal, which has reached the end of its useful life and which shows several problems of obsolescence. Following the work, the Stadium will be able to fulfill its full vocation by holding activities throughout the year. Thus, the addition of activities should generate additional economic benefits. TIMELINE: The owner is canceling the Request for proposals for a design/build services and is issuing a notice of intent to enter into a mutual agreement contract with Groupe Pomerleau-Canam. This decision takes into account, according to the Olympic Park, the current context of the project, which is radically different from what it was when the opportunity file was approved, almost six years ago. This step will make it possible to complete the business case by the end of the fall and submit it to the government for its approval. The change in the mode of procurement will in particular make it possible to integrate, in a single contract, the replacement of the roof of the stadium and that of the technical ring, thus simplifying the realization of the project thanks to the concomitant design and construction of the two works. Note. The project is included by the Quebec Treasury Board Secretariat in the list of projects with a budget exceeding $50 million. The project implementation was delayed due to its technical difficulty. Project budget and timelines of the project development are being finalized.
