The City of Plano is soliciting bids for the Shiloh Road widening project that includes the construction of the two eastern lanes to complete a four-lane divided thoroughfare from 14th St. to Park Blvd. The work includes installation of a bridge over Stream 2D8, bike lanes, storm sewer systems, water line installation, traffic signal improvements, streambank stabilization, mitigation, and illumination. The location of this project is Shiloh Road from Park Boulevard to 14th Street in the City of Plano, This bid item shall be for providing, installing, moving, removing and maintaining temporary signs; barricades; concrete traffic barrier; crash cushions; electronic arrow boards; temporary pavement markings Texas. Include a bid bond or a bid guarantee in the form of a cashier's check or certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price. This is a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and execute the performance bond and the payment bond on the forms provided in this solicitation. Checks shall be issued by a national or state bank and the bid bond shall be from a reliable surety company. Bid Bonds may be submitted by uploading a scanned copy into IonWave. The apparent low bidder will be required to furnish the original bid bond within 24 hours of the request by the Purchasing Department or may be deemed non-responsive. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond, on the form provided, in the amount of one hundred fifteen percent (115%) of the contract price. Successful bidder must also provide a material and labor payment bond, on the form provided, in the amount of one hundred percent(100%) of the contract price. Bonds must be from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety, or other sureties acceptable to the Owner. Delivery of applicable bonds to the City no later than ten (10) days after notice of award is required. Estimate: $13,354,637 CONTRACT TIME - 570 calendar days Question Cutoff Date Tuesday, February 1 at 1:00 PM. To the extent allowed by law, Owner reserves the right to reject any and all sureties, including but not limited to those sureties who are now in default or delinquent on any bonds or who are interested in any litigation against Owner. Exclusive venue for any lawsuit in connection with such bonds shall be specified as Collin County, Texas.
