Replacement of the existing wastewater treatment plant on land next to the current facility. TIMELINE: Project is in detailed design stage. A RFQ to pre-select equipment suppliers is currently underway. Tender from construction contractors will be issued in early 2024 with construction to proceed in spring. *Concrete Storm Water Collection Preliminary Design completed by Dillon Consulting in 2020. *Construction cost to be confirmed. The Government of Canada is investing over $2.3 million in this project through the Green Infrastructure Stream of the Investing in Canada infrastructure plan. The Government of Nova Scotia is contributing over $1.9 million to the project.
