The Project to be constructed by the Prime Trade Contractor and Separate Contractors working under agreements with the University consists of demolition and abatement of an existing storage room, conference room and office on the 4th floor of Long Hospital in order to construct a new Hybrid Operating Room utilizing a Siemens Zeego robotic CT imaging system, including a new control room and other ancillary support spaces as well as extensive utility demolition, upgrades and reconfiguration to support the new operating room environment.. The project includes support structures for a new air handling unit and two exhaust fans on the roof of Operating Room #4; this roof will be replaced upon completion of the rooftop equipment installation. The project also includes utility and finish upgrades in Operating Room #4. The project will be constructed within the existing operational Long Hospital surgical suite on the 4th floor and will be sequenced according to the Master Project Schedule. The work of the Prime Trade Contract consists of Drywall work and shall include construction of all new metal stud framing, drywall, drywall finishes, temporary tunnel construction, casework, wall insulation, firestopping, access doors and access door installation as well as doors, frames and hardware as identified in the Project Documents and associated Scope of Work for this bid package.
