Note: The Town of Chadbourn is receiving bids for two projects at the same time: this 2022 Sewer Collection System Improvements project and the Elevated Storage Tank Rehabilitation project. The sewer project bids will be opened first. After all bids for the sewer project have been read and the apparent low bidder announced, the bids for the elevated storage tank rehabilitation will be read. The Project consists of the replacement of approximately 1,637 L.F. if 12-inch and 3,470 L.F. of 8-inch gravity sewer along N Pine St, E 5th Ave, E 4th Ave, E 3rd Ave, E 2nd Ave, & N Oak St in the Town of Chadbourn, NC. The project also includes the installation of approximately 352 L.F. of new 12-inch gravity sewer and the abandonment of approximately 780 L.F. of existing gravity sewer to redirect flow around the Town of Chadbourn Elementary School and 233 L.F. of CIPP installation under E Strawberry Blvd (US-74 Bus). In addition to the gravity sewer work, this project also includes work at four of the Town's sanitary sewer lift stations, Kelly St, Blake St, Institute St, & Laundry. The lift station rehab work scope varies by location and detailed descriptions can be found in the Summary of Work specification section.
