Note: The Town of Chadbourn is receiving bids for two projects at the same time: the 2022 Sewer Collection System Improvements project and this Elevated Tank Rehabilitation project. The sewer project bids will be opened first. After all bids for the sewer project have been read and the apparent low bidder announced, the bids for the elevated tank rehabilitation will be read. The proposed project includes the rehabilitation of the Town's 300,000-gallon elevated storage tank. The existing interior and exterior coating systems are to be blasted and recoated per the project specifications. The recoating will require a lead abatement shroud. In addition to the coating of the elevated tank, the project will also replace the climbing and safety apparatus, as well as the bowl vent and sample tap. Prospective Bidders may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents also may be examined at the Town of Chadbourn, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:30 pm; and the office of the Engineer, LKC Engineering, PLLC, located at 140 Aqua Shed Court, Aberdeen NC 28315, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:30 pm. Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
