The City reserves the right to waive any informality in the bidding procedures and to reject any or all proposals. Bidders must be properly licensed as required by Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes. For instructions on submitting proposals, contact Catherine Knisley at catherinek@cityofws.org (preferred) or 336-747-6939 during normal business hours. This project includes repairs of four (4) bridges at the Winston Lake Golf Course. The bridges are 90 feet long with variations in width that stretch across streams and are used for pedestrian crosswalk, golf cart passage, and maintenance vehicle pathways. There are timber deteriorations, missing railings, and missing deck boards. Scope includes supplying all the labor, equipment, tools, and materials for the structural and cosmetic integrity repairs of these bridges. Technical questions concerning this bid should be submitted electronically to Catherine Knisley at catherinek@cityofws.org. End of Question period is 5:00 PM, October 9, 2024. Bidders must RSVP to Patrick Cunningham (patrickc@cityofws.org) by 5:00 PM, September 27 for the site visit so we know how many carts will be required or if we will have to split up the tours. The purpose of this conference is to summarize the scope of work involved for this project and allow interested bidders to conduct their due diligence. The City will not consider bids from companies who do not have a representative present at the pre-bid and/or who fails to record their attendance on the signin sheet.
