Only bids from those Contractors who are registered on the Indiana Department of Transportation's current listing of Prequalified Contractors for this type of work included in this project will be considered. Monroe County Highway Department Stipp Road Reconstruction Bidder shall provide cost to reconstruct 1,775 linear feet of Stipp Road, including all materials, equipment, labor, supervision, and maintenance of traffic. Addenda will be posted to the plan room for obtaining and a notification of each addendum will be emailed from the plan room to each plan holder. All Bids must be accompanied by (1) certified check, or (2) a bid bond payable to the Monroe County Treasurer, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. The certified checks and bonds of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned to them upon award of the contract to the successful bidder. All bids must include Contractor's Bid for Public Work - Form 96. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any Bid, or portion of the Bid, and to waive any irregularities in the bidding. All bids may be held for a period not to exceed 60 days, or as otherwise stated in the Contract Documents before awarding the contract. All out-of-state corporations must have a certificate of authority to do business in the State. All bidders shall comply with Chapter 275 of the Monroe County Code, the Responsible Bidder Ordinance.
