Construction of six bridge replacement projects throughout Union County, PA, bundled into one overall project. The bridge replacements include precast reinforced concrete box culverts, precast or cast-in-place reinforced concrete end sections, PA 3-Rail Bridge Barrier, a precast modular block retaining wall, approach roadway work, and installation of approach guide rail. Each BID must be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the County for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the BID. As soon as the BID prices have been compared, the County will return the Bonds of all except the three lowest responsible bidders. When the Agreement is executed, the bonds of the two remaining unsuccessful bidders will be returned. The tentative project award date is Tuesday, November 5, 2024. All Contractors must be PennDOT prequalified. All Contractors shall comply with all State and Federal laws prohibiting discrimination in hiring employment opportunities. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in the bidding, or to limit the scope of work involved. No bidder may withdraw a bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Should there be reasons why the contract cannot be awarded within the specified period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the County and the Bidder.
