The City of Gary is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the construction of a new Animal Shelter. The project will involve the procurement and installation of a pre-fabricated building with recommended dimensions of 80' X 100'. The City is open to alternative design and size recommendations from bidders. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for the completion of the project as detailed below Scope of Work The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following: Site Preparation: Grading and leveling of the construction site. Utilities: Installation of site utilities, including water, sewage, gas, and electrical connections. Paving: Asphalt or concrete paving for walkways, parking areas, and driveway access. Structural Elements: Concrete foundation and masonry work Framing (metal or wood) Drywall installation Cabinetry and interior hardware Finishes: Interior and exterior finishes, including painting and tiling. Mechanical Systems: Installation of plumbing, HVAC systems, and electrical wiring. Data and Communications: Cabling and system setup for data and communications infrastructure. Roofing: Installation of roofing, including drainage systems. Additional Work: Any other associated construction work as per project plans and specifications. Addenda: Any Addenda issued prior to the bid deadline will be made available to the Public Works office. It is the bidder's responsibility to ensure they have reviewed all Addenda before submitting their bid.
