Bids are invited upon the items and quantities of work as follows, and other miscellaneous items of work: Water & Sewer Service replacements for the addresses located at 1011 and 1021 Broadway Bidders are strongly encouraged to register at website as a Prime Bidder or Sub-Contractor to ensure timely receipt of bidding documents and notices relative to this bid and be listed as a plan holder. The Owner and Engineer are NOT responsible for any incompleteness of bidding documents made available from sources other than website. Printing and shipping fees for hard copies are the responsibility of the Contractor. There is no charge for bidding documents provided in Adobe PDF format. Technical questions regarding interpretations of the bidding documents shall be directed to Geoffrey S. Thompson, P.E. of Klingner & Associates PC at 217-223-3670, gthompson@klingner.com , NOT City Blue Technologies. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of City of Hamilton, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Attention is called to the fact that no less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Hamilton reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. Bids may be held by Hamilton for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
