This Request for Supplier Pre-Qualifications (RFPQ) is an invitation by the City of Barrie (the City) to General Contractors to qualify in accordance with Evaluation of Responses (Part 2) for eligibility to provide General Contactor services for the Anne St. Booster Pump Station The City is pre-qualifying General Contractor(s) to participate in a potential second stage competitive process for the Anne St. Booster Pump Station Project. In the event that only one (1) General Contractor is prequalified through this prequalification process, the City reserves the right to issue another prequalification process or go directly to an Invitation to Tender (ITT). The objective of this project is to construct a new booster pump station and to rehabilitate the existing Anne St. reservoir cells to supply City of Barrie pressure zones 2N and 3N, which will be located on the east side of the existing reservoir. The four (4) zone 2N booster pumps supply water from Anne St. reservoir to the Bayfield Elevated Tank (ET) within Zone 2N. The three (3) zone 3N booster pumps will pump water from Anne St. reservoir and service Ferndale ET within zone 3N. The booster pump station will also be used as a chlorine reformation facility using gaseous chlorine as per City practices. The station will be equipped with a standby generator and will also be capable of housing and utilizing a future solar photovoltaic power system.
