The respondents will be submitting proposals to provide Construction Management at Risk services consisting of pre-construction services, developing a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), and construction of the following project Fire Station (FS) #25, located at 1060 Wellington Trace Wellington, FL 33414 and FS #33 located at 830 Kirk Rd., West Palm Beach, FL 33406 (the Project). The Project includes, but is not limited to: For FS #25 - the demolition and construction of an approximately 6,500 square foot of living area, renew the existing apparatus bay area and renew and reconfigure the existing site improvements. For FS #33 - the demolition of the existing fire station in its entirety and the construction of an approximately 15,600 square foot Fire Station and renew and reconfigure the existing site improvements. The two referenced Fire Station projects are to include all associated site work, utilities, paving, drainage, site lighting, signalization infrastructure, landscape, irrigation, and removal of temporary facilities and restoration of areas around the temporary facilities. The preliminary construction cost is estimated at $8,000,000 for FS 25, and $13,000,000 for FS 33. The total cost of construction is estimated to be $ 21,000,000. The APIs applicable to the construction phase(s) of this project, including any mandatory SBE or M/WBE goal(s) for the construction subcontracts, will be determined by the Countys Goal Setting Committee prior to subcontractor bidding for each Guaranteed Maximum Price Amendment. It is anticipated that at least a mandatory minimum SBE subcontracting goal of 20% will be applied to the construction phase(s) of this project. However, depending on the availability of S/M/WBEs at the time of subcontractor bidding, the Countys Goal Setting Committee may apply a higher mandatory SBE subcontracting goal or may apply a mandatory M/WBE subcontracting goal. Proposers should review the RFP for more information on the Countys EBO Program as it applies to the construction phase(s) of this project. At the time of proposal submission, respondent must be properly certified and licensed in the State of Florida and/or Palm Beach County, as applicable, for the purpose of performing the specified work. Palm Beach County reserves the right to waive any proposal irregularities, informalities, or technical deficiencies and to reject any and all proposals.
