Envelopes containing bids must be designated "Sealed Bid for Hunker Borough Storm Sewer Replacement Project" as follows: Storm Sewer Pipe Replacement 12" to 36" diameter 285 LF; Reinforced Concrete Endwalls 2 EA; 2x4 Inlet Replacement with Restoration on SR 3014 10 EA; Pavement Replacement on Borough Streets 140 SY; 3x5 Inlet Boxes 2 EA; 2x2 Inlet Boxes 3 EA; 2x4 Inlet Boxes 2 EA; Water Control Paving and Wedge Curbs 60 SY; Concrete Sidewalk Replacement 200 SF; and other specified work - all quantities approximate. Bid must be accompanied by satisfactory bid security executed by bidder and acceptable surety authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the amount of 10% of the bid made payable to "Hunker Borough." Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, to eliminate items of work, reduce or increase quantities up to 25% or to reject any or all bids. Proposals must be upon the form furnished. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the date of the opening thereof. Contractor is to comply with the provisions of applicable Federal and State Statutes and regulations including but not limited to; Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment; Contractor Integrity and Responsibility; the Occupational Safety and Health Act, the Drug-Free Workplace Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, Right to Know, Worker Safety, Public Works Employment and other applicable regulations. This project is funded by a COVID-19 ARPA Pandemic Response Grant from the PA Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED) and a Westmoreland County Sewer Grant. PA Prevailing wage rates and other requirements apply and are included in the bid documents.
