The Contractor shall furnish the Owner with every reasonable facility for ascertain in whether or not the work performed and materials used are in accordance with the requirements and intent of the Specifications and Contract. No work shall be done or materials used without suitable supervision or inspection by the owner or his representative. Failure to reject any defective work or materials shall not in any way prevent later rejection when such defect is discovered, or obligate the Owner to final acceptance. All materials furnished and work done when not in accordance with the Specifications and Contract will be rejected and shall immediately be removed and other work done and materials furnished in accordance therewith. If the Contractor fails to remove the work and materials as above ordered, within forty-eight (48) hours, then the Owner or his representative shall have the right and authority to stop the Contractor and his work at once and to supply men and material at the cost and expense of the Contractor to remove said work and materials. Construct (7) single-family detached dwellings in Phase III(b) of the Azalea Street Redevelopment. Public highways shall not be obstructed in such a way as to cut off traffic. The Contractor shall, at his own expense, repair any damage or injury to either public or private property during the progress of the work.
