See Attachments H and I for project location maps. The City will maintain this area once it is cleared. 1. The Contractor shall cut, remove, and dispose of trees, underbrush, and vegetation from approximately 1,000 linear feet of shoreline during daylight hours Monday through Friday. Access arrangements will be made with staff at Western Branch Pump Station. 2. All equipment used and all work to be performed must be in full compliance with the most current revision of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z133.1 (Safety Requirements for Pruning, Trimming, Repairing, Maintaining, Removing Trees and for Cutting Brush) standards for worksite safety. 3. Work that does not meet the satisfaction of the City or is performed in an unsafe manner will be halted by the City immediately. Work will not be allowed to commence until the safety and/or quality of work concerns of the City are satisfactorily addressed. 4. Tree stumps greater than 4" Diameter at breast height (DBH) must be ground below grade and 80/20 clay/sand or similar (i.e. 85/15 or 75/25 clay/sand) placed and compacted in the hole. All other vegetation must be cut as low as possible. This area may be wet, and the soils may be soft depending on the water elevation of the reservoir. Any ruts must be restored to grade consistent with the surrounding area. No chips, shavings, or other debris shall enter the reservoir. 5. Vegetation shall be cut and removed from the stilling basin at the base of the roller compacted concrete (RCC) steps. No equipment shall be used that will damage the RCC steps. No debris, chips, or shavings shall enter the adjacent tidal wetlands. 6. Vegetation and trees shall be cut and removed from the side and top of the RCC steps and riprap. No debris, chips, or shavings shall remain on the RCC steps or in the riprap. 7. Contractor shall backfill any resulting ruts, holes, etc., with the approved clay/sand mix and apply fescue grass seed. 8. Contractor shall, at its sole expense, repair any damage it makes to the RCC steps or any other area of the Spillway in a manner and method approved by the City. 9. Contractor shall dispose of all material in the designated area adjacent to the work site. Material shall be spread out evenly rather than made into piles. 10. All work is subject to inspection while services are being performed, after the work is completed, and must meet the requirements of this solicitation and satisfaction of the City. The Contractor shall address and remedy any work that does not adhere to this Scope of Services at its expense. 11.
