Bids are invited for the furnishing of materials, equipment and labor to remove approximately 2,000 cubic yards of harbor bottom material to the approved depth of -8’ MLW, barge the spoils to an acceptable disposal area for dewatering and final disposal. Also included in this work is a post-dredge bathymetric surveys of the entire harbor as well as sampling and analysis of the harbor sediment in accordance with current MSDMR/MSDEQ requirements. A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the City of Long Beach, Mississippi, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid for City of Long Beach, LONG BEACH HARBOR DEMOLITION, shall be submitted with each bid. The City of Long Beach, Mississippi, reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding Bids may be held by the City of Long Beach, Mississippi, for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract. Bidders should also be aware of the City’s prerogatives to award the Contract subject to the availability of funds as indicated in the Contract documents.
