General Overview The City of Round Rock (the City) seeks qualified engineering firms to submit Statements of Interest and Qualifications (SIQ's) to provide engineering services related to the Deepwood Dr. Extension from FM 620 to Sam Bass Road in Round Rock. The purpose of this request is to identify a firm or firms with the engineering staff qualified to design transportation improvements and prepare various engineering documents, which may include: plans, specifications and estimates; design schematics and exhibits; right-of-way documents; surveys; traffic control plans; environmental clearance documents; and other related documents as directed by the City Objectives The City of Round Rock has developed a project to design and construct the Deepwood Dr. Extension from FM 620 to Sam Bass Road. Work to be performed under this request shall consist of engineering services related to this project. Services to be performed will include but are not limited to: conducting appropriate environmental analyses to bring the project into compliance with applicable local, state and federal requirements, public participation; surveying; schematic development and exhibit preparation; preparation of right-of-way documents; traffic control plans; drainage design; utility relocation, illumination, landscaping, geotechnical engineering (may include flexible and rigid pavement designs); structural engineering; development of plans, specifications and estimates, and construction phase services. In addition, the firm or firms selected under this request will be expected to coordinate with and obtain approval/concurrence from the following entities: Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ); Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR); Any and all other relevant agencies (Local, County, State or Federal). Preference will be given to those firms who have demonstrated capabilities in successfully completing projects of similar scope and complexity; those firms who have successfully delivered projects which involve multiple approving agencies are highly desired, as are those firms who routinely exceed expectations in terms of work product quality and project delivery. Work to be completed related to this request may be expected to be completed on an expedited timeline and the engineer should be able to demonstrate the ability to accelerate as necessary.
