Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: 1. Installation of Pollution Prevention Measures. 2. Prepare and Implement Traffic Control Plan. 3. Mill existing roadway surface. Millings are to be hauled to 11702 11th Street. 4. Pulverize or re-construct existing roadway base per typical sections. 5. Compact the base materials to the specified density. 6. Construct finished asphalt surface 7. Site clean-up and restoration including sodding. Pursuant Chapter 2269 Subchapter C of the Texas Government Code, a contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible Bidder that has the experience and reputation, quality of goods and services, safety record, proposed personnel, and financial capability to complete this project. The bidder selected will be notified at the earliest possible date. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in bids received where such action is in its interest. The City pays for goods and services according to the provisions of Chapter 2251 of the Government Code. Bids may be held by the City of Santa Fe for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder s qualifications prior to the contract award. All bidders are required to provide payment and performance bonds. Bid Security and Bonds: Bid Security in the form of Cashier s Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond payable to the City of Santa Fe in the amount of 5% of the total base bid price must accompany each proposal. Original documents for Bid Security shall be requested by the City from the lowest two bidders and delivered to the City s Purchasing Officer within 48 business hours of the Bid Opening. Bid Security shall be delivered to: Office of City Purchasing, Department, at City of Santa Fe City Hall, 12002 Hwy 6, Santa Fe, TX 77510.
