The purpose of this project is to provide a UBAS overlay of I-35, including interchanges, from MM 96.3 to MM 112.3 in Chase County. Additional work to patch portions of I-35 mainline, pave the KTA Cassoday maintenance yard (MM 92), and seal the Matfield Green service area (MM 97) is also included in this project.). Work includes ultrathin bonded asphalt surfacing (UBAS), commercial grade asphalt patching, commercial grade asphalt surfacing, sealing and all other work shown in the plans. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity therein, to determine which is the lowest responsible bid most suitable to the Authority. Proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of bid and made payable to the Kansas Turnpike Authority as guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and give a performance bond as required if awarded the contract.
