Bids must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, or a Bid Bond in favor of the City in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price. The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as required by the Specifications and Contract Documents for the above stated project. This contract will be for a three year period after notice to proceed with an option to extend the contract for two additional one year terms based on contractor performance. Work will commence one day after notice to proceed is given. Question Deadline 10/14/2024 at 5:00 PM PT Requests for clarifications, questions and comments must be clearly labeled, "Written Questions" and addressed to Vincent Orfano, City of Coachella, Public Works Department. The City is not responsible for failure to respond to a request that has not been labeled as such. All questions must be emailed to Vincent Orfano at vorfano@coachella.org and be received. In accordance with the California Labor Code Sections 1770, 1773, 1773.1, 1773.6 and 1773.7 as amended, the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages according with standards set forth in Section 1773 for the locality in which the Work is to be performed, Any contract entered into pursuant to this notice will incorporate the provisions of the State Labor Code. A copy of said wage rates can be obtained by online, or by contacting the District Office at 464 West Fourth Street, Room 348, San Bernardino, CA 92401, telephone (909) 383-4334. The AGENCY reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any irregularity, to accept any bid or portion thereof, and to take all proposals under advisement for a period of sixty (60) days. At the time of contract award, the prime contractor shall possess the following: Class A or Class C10 Contractors license and at Least Level II Traffic Signal Technician or higher from the International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA). Both licenses must be in good standing for the previous three (3) consecutive years without any official unresolved record of complaints registered of filed with the California Department of Consumer Affairs; additionally will also need a City Business License. The Performance Bond and the Payment (Labor and Materials) Bond shall be for one hundred percent (100%) of the Total Bid Price
