The work for which bids are asked includes the following estimated quantities: 950 LF of sanitary sewer and laterals (12 PVC) along with associated sanitary sewer structure work; 950 L.F. of water main (6 thru 16 PVC); 3,500 S.Y. topsoil and seeding/erosion matting; Hemlock Road utility crossing aggregate base course, concrete curb and gutter, and asphalt restoration; tree clearing & grubbing; as well as all related work including unclassified excavation, erosion control, and traffic control. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Direct all bidding inquiries to Engineer s Project Manager, Nate Rego, at (920) 392-5135. The minimum wages to be paid on the project shall be in accordance with the wage rate scale established by local wage rates. Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
