This is an Existing Water Tank That is No Longer in Service. The Work in This Contract Includes Cleaning the Outside of the Tank and Tower to Provide a Rust Free Surface, Repairing the Outside Surface of the Tank and Tower, and Coating Application of the Tank's Exterior Along With the Installation of Two Logos of the Same Style and Color. The Contractor Shall Provide All Materials, Labor, Equipment, and Tools Required to Perform All of the Work Listed in These Specifications, Including the Disposal of Any Generated Waste. There is Also an Alternate Bid That Consists of Cleaning, Scarifying, Installing a Single Logo, and Applying Polyurethane on the Logo on the Gorrell Street Water Tank Located at 401 Gorrell Street. This is an Existing Water Tank That is Currently in Service. No Proposal Shall Be Considered or Accepted by the City Unless at the Time of Its Filing the Same Shall Be Accompanied by a Five Percent Bid Security as Indicated in the Instructions to Bidders. A Separate Performance Bond and Payment Bond Each in an Amount Equal to One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Price Will Be Required of the Successful Bidder Following Award of the Contract by the City. Consideration Will Be Given Only to Proposals Submitted by Contractors Licensed in the State of North Carolina Under the Contractor's Licensing Act of 1925 or as Amended. The City Reserves the Right to Waive Any Informality or to Reject Any or All Bids or to Award Such Contract as in Its Judgment is Deemed to Be in the Best Interest of the City.
