Reference Number 0000363529 Job Location: Aurora, CO Aurora, Colorado United States Road Name: Private Access Road A gravel maintenance access road was installed approximately three years ago for Aurora Water maintenance staff to access the Piney Creek Lift Station air release valves (ARVs) located near the southeast intersection of E-470 and Smokey Hill Road. A section of the gravel access road located in the E-470 right-of-way is sloped from east to west (toward E-470) and maintenance staff have had issues with large trucks sliding off the road when the road is very wet or snow covered, which causes a safety issue. The project includes rerouting and regrading a section of the road to eliminate the tight turning radius and steep slope in order to improve safety of access by maintenance personnel. Questions will be answered via addendum posted on the online. The Contract Documents require that all work be Substantially Complete by December 15, 2024, with Final Completion by December 31, 2024 Failure to complete the work as prescribed shall be considered as a Breach of Contract and subject to Liquidated Damages which are $600.00 per day. Each Bid shall be accompanied by an appropriate guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. In addition, the bid guarantee shall be accompanied in the same file as the bid. The estimated cost for this project is from $73,000.00 to $101,000.00. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
